Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: Fulfillment of Commitments related to the Preparation for the European Football Championship is one of the Pressing Objectives
Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Saturday in the course of the working visit to Kharkiv visited the airport complexes buildings that are to be completed before the conduction of Euro-2012 in Ukraine.
V. Lytvyn has positively evaluated the vast scale and temps of the building. The main, according to him is that reconstruction of take-off and landing strip can accept of medium-range planes of all the types and classes. It is known that the passenger terminal that would be put into operation before the conduction of EURO-2012 can accept more than 2 million passengers per year.
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasised that "fulfillment of commitments related to the preparation for the European Football Championship is one of the pressing at the present moment."
"Unfortunately funding of the major works is being held at the expense of state budget, when in the other state similar projected are always funded at the expense of the private capital", the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada explained. Concerning Kharkiv airport, the head of the Parliament explained that "it is a pleasant exclusion as only UAH 8 million were allocated from the state budget for the reconstruction works on take-off and landing strip and terminal would be completed at the expense of holding "New System AM."
Moreover, V. Lytvyn positively evaluated that on Friday, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed as a basis the Law No6411 "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the Customs Registration of Goods and Products for the Preparation and Conduction of the Final part of the Europe Football Championship 2012 in Ukraine", Law No6412 "On Amendments to the Clause 5 of the Law "On Value-Added Tax" and finally the third one Law No6309 "On Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding the development and Preparation of the Hotel Infrastructure for the Conduction in Ukraine of the Final part of European Football Championship 2012."
According to Volodymyr Lytvyn, it is supposed to attract investors, foreign investors in particular, that would have their business in Ukraine.
